Visit the Environment Clean Center
To Minamata-city, recycling is crucial as a model environmental city. Garbage is classified into 22 types of garbage including recyclable garbage, large garbage, harmful garbage, landfill garbage, burnable garbage, and raw garbage. This Center provides a tour of the facility, and visitors can deepen their understanding by participating in the classification process. The tour can hold 50 people at most (appointment necessary).
